Another craft beer industry awards and another stellar result for the Australian Brewery. After the CBIA recently ejected macro craft beer and rebadged as the Independent Brewery Association they announced the first Craft Beer Awards results on the 28th of July. With two gold medals, three silvers and four bronze medals the Australian Brewery nearly matched their efforts at the Australian International Beer Awards earlier in the year with a personal best record of three gold medals.
All Star Session IPA must be very close to the most awarded IPA in the country in 2017 with two golds at the AIBA and two at the CBA. Into the Void oatmeal stout won two silver medals and the Australian Pale Ale won the third silver medal. AB recently collaborated with inner west legends Bucket boys on This is how you Make Porridge which scored a bronze as well as GABS beer Berliner Weisse Kiwi Sour. New World Pilsner rounded out the bronze medal beers.
Under the watchful eye of head brewer Dan Shaw, the brewery has gone from strength to strength and is in an exciting position at the midpoint of 2017. With beer on the way to South Africa and Vietnam for the first time these awards reinforce founder Marcello Colosimo’s vision of taking Australian craft beer to the world.
“It is easy to make this beer with a great hardworking team, that deserve to win these medals. Diverse areas of knowledge from our brewers and endless support from the owners make this the best job in the world.”
Seasonal packaged beers Into the Void and This is how you make Porridge are available at Bucket boys craft beer in limited quantities. Core range beers are more readily available around the country and easily found online at Boozebud
